A dog that was abandoned after being thrown over a fence at an animal shelter last week has found a new home.

Cincinnati Animal Care says a dog that was seen being thrown over a 6-foot tall fence has been adopted.

The disturbing incident was caught on video. The video shows someone pick up the dog and throw it over the 6-foot fence. The shelter said their staff rushed into action to help the dog, who they said was limping after being thrown over the fence.

Aside from stress and a few scratches, the dog was okay.

The shelter named her Ester and posted to their Facebook page Tuesday that she already has new home.

We're told she was adopted the same day she was available.

Officials are still trying to find the people responsible, for abandoning Ester and throwing her over the fence.

According to Cincinnati Animal CARE, the car and person was not easily visible, but said the vehicle seen in the video appears to be a black Honda Accord with no front license plate visible.

"The hope is that someone in the community recognizes the dog and the vehicle, and can identify the person with these details," the shelter said.
